JOB SUMMARY
The Regional Director of Maintenance Operations (RDMO) is responsible for Part 135 Maintenance Operations for one or more geographic regions (each a Region). The RDMO will ensure that all maintenance personnel and facilities operate in a standardized manner in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations, including Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and the Company's Policies and Procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
• Supervise Base and Senior Base Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) in each Region as assigned.
• Assist Senior Base AMTs in planning, directing and standardization of Maintenance facilities, inventory within the facility or Regions and general maintenance in accordance with FARs and company Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed in a timely manner, including but not limited to, any parts that need to be shipped or delivered, necessary for completing scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
• Works directly with Regional Director of Flight Operations (RDFO) and Regional Director of Base Operations (RDBO) in the integration of aircraft, spare aircraft, and maintenance personnel, ensuring availability in support of operational requirements.
• Actively participate in company Safety Management System (SMS) and maintain familiarity with SMS policies, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure field maintenance personnel are properly trained and bases are sufficiently staffed.
• Assist Regional Maintenance Office Director in planning or coordinating Scheduled and Unscheduled heavy maintenance projects.
• Works with Director of Maintenance on maintenance error findings and comprehensive fixes to improve safety.
• Manage maintenance personnel including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, progressive improvement plans, terminations and other employee issues that may arise.
• Compiling, managing, monitoring, and maintaining department budget.
• Review communications from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and submit correspondence to the FAA including but not limited to SDR reports.
• Monitor company tools and tool calibration expiration dates.
OTHER DUTIES
• Responsible for reviewing and approving assigned personnel timecards
• Responsible for reviewing and approving assigned personnel expense reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
• Ten years of experience in helicopter maintenance
• Previous management experience
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
• Current A&P Certificate required
• Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
• Must have valid state driver's license

WORKING CONDITIONS AND MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working Conditions:
• Must have the ability to be tolerant of loud noises for extended periods of time; occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
• Regularly required to work in outside weather conditions.
• Work may be performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• May be required to travel approximately 50% of the time
Physical Demands:
• Physical requirements include speaking, hearing, and visual acuity. May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
• Able to sit, stand and squat for extended periods of time.
• Must be physically able to climb, crouch, crawl, balance, or kneel on one knee; work requires grasping and repetitive motions.
