Overall Responsibilities:
Qualified Social Mediaand Marketing Specialist to provide hands-on assistance with a wide range of marketing strategies, tactics, and initiatives that execute our strategic marketing plan. This individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including Social Media, communications, e-newsletters, trade show and special event planning, photoshoots, budgeting/purchase requisitions, and reporting. The Social Media and Marketing Specialist must be a highly organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Social Media posts for multiple brands using content supplied by Leer Group team members.
- Schedule Social Media posts for multiple brands using Loomly Social Media management software.
- Create monthly e-newsletters for multiple brands using content supplied by Leer Group team members. (Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience a plus)
- Assist with Leer Groups influencer and ambassador programs.
- Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support literature, ensuring all resources are current and accurate.
- Collaborate with team members to generate creative ideas to support growth and the companys goals.
- Manage brand apparel and promotional materials including inventory levels.
- Work with internal and external to team to coordinate and manage point of purchase material inventories.
- Manage company-manufactured products for marketing purposes, including products for brand ambassadors and influencers.
- Assist with photo and video sessions for the company.
- Plan and coordinate meetings, events, and trade shows.
- Manage purchase requisitions and budget tracking.
Characteristics and skills:
- Excellent Social Media posting, scheduling, and reporting skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail. Aptitude for learning website platform administration.
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
- Ability to interact productively with all levels of company management and all product lines.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and tact.
- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodating new tasks and processes.
- Capable of working independently and/or part of a group, as required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative-taker with a hands-on approach and the ability to work unaided.
Educational and other requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in marketing, advertising, business, or communications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a marketing or sales department; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
