As a Social Media Specialist you will collaborate with the Demand Generation team, Communications Manager, and other marketing team members to determine Social Media content calendar and strategy, focusing on increasing audience engagement and conversion. The Social Media Specialist will independently publish, monitor, report, and community manage all Social Media channels. In addition to Social Media management and reporting, this role will include the management, execution, and partnership of Uponor's influencer strategy across social, digital, and trade. Voice and content will be consistent with a customer-first, digital mindset to drive leads and conversions while building the Uponor brand. This role reports to the Manager, Content Marketing and is considered a HYBRID position with periodic onsite work at our North American headquarters in Apple Valley, MN.
What will you do?
• Plan and execute Social Media calendar and leverage best practices to bolster reach, engagement, and conversion. Optimize social content for CX and revenue-generating digital marketing efforts while adhering to brand and digital guidelines. Report on-going analytics and dashboards to provide recommended optimizations and provide the organization routine reports of performance.
• Community manage all Social Media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other blogs and forums, as needed, responding to customers and community members in a timely, professional manner.
• Manage Uponor influencer partnerships, including swag, product donations, and content creation partnerships.
• Participate in broader content marketing and demand generation initiatives.
• Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.
What will you need?
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, English, or
• equivalent degree.
• 1-3 years of related writing or content experience required.
• Knowledge of AP writing style, Social Media platforms, and monitoring tool preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Canva is a plus
• Prior experience in Writing, Editing, Communications, Social Media or similar is required.
• Ability to develop and implement a corporate Social Media strategy
• Ability to monitor online activity across departments and geographical areas to ensure anyone using the company's online tools is following established guidelines and best-practice rules
• Meticulous attention to detail with outstanding proofreading and editing skills.
• Must use an effective and approachable communication style to engage others and build credibility and rapport.
• Must be self-starter, goal oriented, and take initiative to achieve objectives.
• Must be a strong team player
