Specialist, Social Media and Influencer Strategy

About the role:
The Specialist, Social Media and Influencer Strategy will be responsible for assisting the Group Director, Social Media and Influencer Strategy and the Public Relations team on community and content management for Fragrance & Beauty Social Media initiatives. A day in this role includes posting and managing our social platform, engaging with followers, organizing, and scheduling new content, interacting with key influencer and creative partners on content creation and managing our vendors on shoot productions. This role will also support ongoing reporting and recaps by tracking growth and engagement of new projects and campaigns.
What impact you can create at CHANEL:
Community & Social Management:
  • Manage daily posting and community management on our Instagram platform, engaging with qualitative content featuring CHANEL Beauty.
  • Monitor key conversations and comments on owned, partner and competitor accounts while maintaining brand guidelines.
  • Work with creative agency on content calendar management and copywriting supervision.
  • Actively track UGC using our UGC management tools to identify and organize an archive of content for posting.
  • Work with social analytics insights tools to track social platform engagement and growth, developing bi-weekly and monthly performance recaps for the account and earned influencer campaigns.
Production & Shoot Coordination:
  • Liaise with creative agency to provide launch, product and event updates and assist in creating production and shoot schedules.
  • Support creative vendors to secure location, wardrobe, products, props, equipment, etc. for shoots.
  • Work on set, be talent-facing as a representative of CHANEL.
  • Work with creative partners to define post-production schedule and liaise with editing and retouching.
  • Work in partnership with key cross functional teams (creative, business insights, fashion and VIP) to request and organize content and programming opportunities to support key brand moments.
Influencer and Partner Program Management:
  • Brief key influencer and beauty expert partners to develop Social Media content and provide timeline and posting requirements (including suggested copy, posting date and technical settings to ensure high quality upload).
  • Manage contact list and PR seeding and mailing lists to ensure packages are received and to communicate content creation requests.
  • Track product requests and deliveries on a daily and ad hoc basis.
Administrative:
  • Set up vendors for billing and processing invoices and charges.
  • Track internal budget.
  • Book travel and create itineraries for events and shoots.
  • Assist in the production and execution of events (e.g. rsvp tracking, set up/breakdown, gift bag assembly, etc.).
  • Act as a support for partner and vendor contracts and service agreements to ensure proper internal routing process.
Position Logistics:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in Social Media and/or creative agency.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Organizational and solid time management skills with strong multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Detailed product and brand knowledge.
  • Ability to meet required deadlines at a fast-paced manner.
  • Agile and flexible in the ever-changing world of Social Media.
  • Possesses outstanding written and clear verbal communication skills.
  • Efficient note taker and avid learner with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, to create recaps in a clean, professional and stylized manner.
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro preferred.
  • Strong know-how of top Social Media platforms and general photo and video content specs.
  • A quick study who can grasp analytic and reporting tools (Lefty, Netbase, SocialBakers, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Social Media KPIs to analyze data and identify key trends in the beauty market and Social Media space.
Compensation:
  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $58,200 through $80,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.

Flexible Time and Hybrid Work Options:
Corporate/Home Office positions:
  • Fully Remote: Role can be conducted from home office, may require occasional travel and/or visits to corporate offices/points of sales.
  • Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three-days in-person office presence at the designated location/office.
  • Work-Place Essential: This role requires 5 days in person office at the designated location/office.

Retail/Field/Boutique positions:
Partially Remote:
  • Fragrance & Beauty Field, Fashion Regionals, etc.: Requires in-store presence to develop and coach teams, ensure boutique image and operational standards are upheld and support and create an elevated client experience. Eligible for flex time use.
Workplace Essential:
  • Boutique Management: Requires in-store presence to develop and coach teams, ensure boutique image and operational standards are upheld, and deliver elevated client service to drive business results.
  • Front of House Fashion: Full-time in-store and in-person presence required to support client sales and client service deliver elevated client service to drive business results.
  • Heart of House: Requires in-store presence to facilitate the opening and closing of the boutique; the receiving of inventory; shipping of product to support sales to ensure optimal client service.
