Job Description
Our client, a major union in Manhattan is seeking a qualified candidate to join their team for a temp to perm opportunity as a Social Media Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage all Social Media posts on Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, and LinkedIn to increase awareness of the clients brand
- Place targeted paid ads on Social Media sites
- Film and edit our videos using original and stock footage
- Capture project images by visiting job sites
- Create trade journal ads
- Create blog posts for the website
- Create a monthly report of our Social Media pages, website, and SmartBrief, analyzing followers, impressions, and engagements
- Maintain membership and target audience databases for Social Media targeting
- Support event planning as needed
- Support ad hoc projects as required
Experience and Skills:
- Social Media Manager experience
- Strong copywriting skills
- Strong creative design sense
- Social media paid advertising experience
- Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Experience shooting and editing video with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, and Social Media analytics is a plus
- Experience with Google Ads
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Ability to carry video equipment, up to 30 lbs., if needed
