SNF Vice President of Clinical Services reports to: AHC Skilled Nursing Facilities President

Scope of Responsibilities/Duties: The Vice President of Clinical Services will oversee the skilled nursing facility clinical teams to ensure that patients receive high quality care and that financial goals are being supported. The role will require travel on a routine and frequent basis to maintain professional relationships and provide support to facility clinical leadership and other key staff. The responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Works closely with and maintains open communication with the senior operations leadership and the AHC executive team
  • Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with AHC goals.
  • Oversees Regional Clinical Directors and patient Clinical Services for the organization • Seeks to support facility goals of providing perfect patient experiences by ensuring that systems, processes, and performance are aligned to that end
  • Maintains current knowledge of the laws, regulations, and CMS standards governing accreditation and licensing
  • Assists Regional Clinical Directors through oversight of federal / state surveys and ensures that regulatory standards are met
  • Monitors facilities for consistent implementation of policies
  • Ensures that patient and family concerns are understood and that appropriate actions are taken toward resolution
  • Courageous in addressing difficult issues while providing support and direct/actionable feedback
  • Monitors other key performance indicators and intervenes as appropriate.
  • Serves as a champion for employee engagement and retention
  • Protects the legal, financial, and moral well-being of AHC and affiliated companies • All other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • Willingness and ability to relocate
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Significant and relevant experience in SNF clinical operations and leadership
  • Current license to practice as a Registered nurse in current State of residence and ability to obtain licensure in all states in which AHC operates if necessary

Physical Requirements:

  • Travel (air, car) and work in facilities
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about
  • Perform work as required by a typical licensed Registered nurse.
  • Perform other duties as required
