Job Description:
The candidate must be a US Citizen or Green card Holder.
- Develops SMT assembly and soldering processes in medium to high-mixed complex PCBA environment.
- Plan and develop process and capacity utilization strategies for SMT assembly operations.
- Develop solder paste printing, automated solder paste inspection, component placement, reflow soldering, and automated optical inspection (AOI) processes.
- Develop SMT solder paste reflow profiles to ensure proper solder wetting.
- Identify the root cause of yield/ quality issues and work with internal design/ application groups as well as vendors to develop corrective action.
- Ensure production readiness of key processes in PCB assembly cycle.
- Continuously improve SMT processes and yields.
- Design experiments to develop optimum production processes such as solder paste selection, stencil designs, feeder set up methodology, and selective soldering techniques.
- Optimize machine set up and programming.
- Collaborate with internal teams on New Product Introductions (NPI); Interface with customers on pre-assembly or post-assembly concerns.
- Manipulate data files using Gerber, ODB++, various CAD packages and 3D modeling, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to interpret assembly and fab drawings and the requirements.
- Ability to follow clean room and ESD policies.
- Familiar with and practice 6S principles in order to maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workplace.
- Associate degree in engineering or technical field.
- 2 - 4 years' experience.
- Intimate SMT process experience is a must.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Microsoft office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
- Able to sit, stoop, kneel bend and reach on a daily basis.
- Must be able to sit for 50% of the workday.
- Must be able to use microscope 10% of the workday.
