Job Summary: To provide inventory control services to establish and manage property accountability, dispose of property as directed, assist with management of contract property accounts, perform data entry procedures, maintain central receiving point for deliveries, and operate and maintain at operator level the shredder/destruct machine within the office.

Job Duties:

• Provide recommended procedures for maintaining property accountability of all government property, IAW AR 710-2 and DA PAM 710-2-1. Use of current Army Property System of Record (APSR) accountability software program, Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A)
• Receive information from G-4 regarding transfers, moving property from one location to another location, and turn-in of existing property through proper disposal channels. Maintain data in validated and verified status as closely as possible based on the availability of information
• Prepare required documentation and obtain account holder signatures for action and forward to Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics G-4 designated Property Book Officer for processing all items in GCSS-A
• Utilize information received; compare and reconcile the APSR GCSS-A database for all property assigned to Deputy Chief of Staff for logistics G-4 and staffs accounts every six months, and/or as required, assist the G-4 in validation efforts. The contractor shall coordinate with the G-4 and staffs as necessary to update and maintain accountability procedures for GCSS-A and any table of distribution and allowance (TDA) authorizations
• Initiate appropriate action to ensure all government property assigned to staff is sub-hand receipted for each primary hand receipt and maintains this information in the GCSS-A database
• Submit required documentation to the designated Property Book Officer regarding the transactions of property transfers. Provide coordination and follow-up action to ensure transactions submitted are accurately recorded in a timely manner and report any problems that cannot be resolved between the two parties to the Government point of contact
• Serve as the focal point and coordinator for all nonexpendable Property Book Account actions
• Provide electronically generated reports from GCSS-A database that satisfy the requestor's requirements
• Provide assistance in conducting research/investigation of property loss utilizing DD Form 200 "Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL)"
• Conduct inventories on government acquisitions and excess equipment and to determine accountability requirement
• Provide warehouse operations utilizing GCSS-A
• Perform services including, without limitation, receipt, put away, storage, order selection, shipment, and related customer service
• Manage an expendable consumable stock with items furnished by the government for distribution to staff elements
• Manage the central receiving point for incoming shipments, record incoming shipments in database, and arrange for pickup by the responsible office
• Sign and account for deliveries to the loading dock, secure shipments, and materials, and sign for classified packages until picked up by the responsible office
• Place expended printer cartridges and cardboard boxes in the recycle bin
• Utilize and maintain at the operator level, the shredder/destruct machine and components for destruction of FOUO and classified material
• Attend and participate in Integrated Process/Product Teams (IPTs) and other meetings, as scheduled
• Perform wall to wall inventory of property assigned to primary hand receipt holders at various sites and provide related documentation to support the inventory results
• Identify issues and formulate and provide alternatives for issue resolution
• Provide planning, preparation and input for conferences, briefings, meetings, working groups and teams

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-3 years' experience
• Prior forklift experience desired
• Experience and knowledge of Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE), Defense Accountability System (DPAS) acceptable; Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) preferred
• An active security clearance is required
