Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring the proper handling and transportation of goods within the warehouse.
- Perform picking, packing, and shipping activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in order fulfillment.
- Safely stack and unstack goods onto pallets, maintaining proper inventory control and property management procedures.
- Regularly inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any faults or damages.
- Comply with all established warehouse policies and procedures, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in and facilitate safety training and best practice initiatives, maintaining high standards for Warehouse Operations.
- Assist in planning and maintaining logistics policies and procedures, ensuring smooth and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Manage inventory control, including conducting regular stock checks, updating inventory records, and preparing and maintaining accurate stock ledgers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to various roles within the warehouse to meet operational needs.Skills:
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or relevant fields preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Warehouse Operations, including forklift operation, loading, and palletizing.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment and RF scanner guns.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
