Summary
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for data collection and analysis of key warehouse processes: Receiving, Put Away, Packaging, Picking, Stuffing, and Shipping. The incumbent ensures a smooth and consistent operation so that parts and supplies are able to be located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy customer requirements.

- Create and maintain warehouse processes and changes for RDC Process Manual
- Create and maintain all warehouse documentation related to procedures for all work centers
- Conduct quarterly process audits to ensure procedural accuracy and report all findings
- Use internal systems to monitor, measure, and analyze warehouse capacities for each department
- Provide daily reports to Warehouse Manager on current workload and worker distribution
- Coordinate with warehouse supervisors to analyze warehouse stock by type, classification, and quantity for continuous consolidation efforts
- Monitor and report Warehouse Optimization Storage (WOS) space fill rates
- Maintain strong relationship with suppliers, internal customers, and external customers
- Support company values and goals to establish a world class organization
- Plan, conduct, and promote team safety meetings within the work place
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities preferred for this position.)
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field plus at least 6 months of experience in a distribution center OR
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 or more years of experience in a distribution center
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and technical skills
- Ability to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong time management skills
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Experience in an automotive distribution environment
- Knowledge of automotive distribution and warehousing
- Team building experience
- Lean Manufacturing experience
Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations:
- Selected candidate will be required to obtain a Mobis powered industrial vehicle operator license
Working Conditions:
- 50% in office; 50% in non-climate controlled warehouse
- 10% Domestic/ International Travel
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Operating various warehouse equipment such as forklift, high reach, pallet jack, skid wrapper, and PDA scanner
- Overtime as needed

Who is MOBIS Alabama?
Established in 2002 and operating on nearly 83 acres in Montgomery, Alabama, MOBIS Alabama, LLC is the largest Tier 1 supplier to both Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) and KIA Motor Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG). With a commitment to quality, we pride ourselves on providing state-of-the-art Modules, Assemblies, and genuine Hyundai and KIA after-service parts. We hold both the ISO14001 and IATF16949 Certifications for Environmental Management and Quality Management.
Our process begins in the sprawling 600,000 square-foot Plastics plant where we use injection molding to produce front and rear bumpers, instrument panel frames, and after-service parts. Our bumpers are molded and painted in-house. Bumpers for HMMA are also assembled in-house before transfer to HMMA for final assembly, while bumpers for KMMG are sent to our sister plant in Georgia for assembly. After molding, instrument panel frames move to the Module plant next door where we prepare them to receive additional parts to form a complete Cockpit (dashboard) assembly. Also in the Module building are our front and rear Chassis (vehicle suspension) assembly lines. Here, parts from Tier 2 and 3 suppliers are assembled into completed Chassis modules which are transported to nearby HMMA for final vehicle assembly.
Our Redistribution Center (RDC) supplies genuine Hyundai and KIA after-service parts to dealerships, auto parts stores, and other parts distribution centers. We receive parts from suppliers globally which are distributed across North America to satisfy our customers’ demand for high-quality automotive parts.
