SIA - School Psychologist (All Grades)
Spokane International Academy is seeking a full-time, dynamic and accomplished staff member to assume position as a School Psychologist for all grades. Spokane International Academy is a rigorous, K-11th grade, international school that empowers all students with academic skills, essential habits for success, and the global competence necessary to complete advanced courses in high school and college in order to become leaders who can powerfully transform their communities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Washington ESA Certificate required or ability to obtain ESA prior to starting
- Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly, express thoughts concisely and effectively in both written and oral form
- Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques
- Flexible in learning new concepts, cooperative with others, and adaptive to a variety of assignments and conditions
- Understanding of special education laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Gains the respect and confidence of students, parents, and staff through modeling appropriate demeanor, behavior, and attire
- Aware of current educational developments and applications, works collaboratively with others, believes in the importance of education, and interested in the welfare of all students
- Knowledge of effective teaching strategies related to the appropriate age of instruction
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the instructional/learning process
- Ability to administer, interpret, and utilize assessment procedures/tests in placement of students
- Willingness and commitment to participate in professional collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse group of students, teachers, parents, and administrators in a confidential manner
- Enthusiastic and displays an overall optimism in motivating toward teaching and student learning and relates positively to youth and adults of varying socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic backgrounds, different learning styles, and various disabilities
- Successful experience in working with students exhibiting a wide range of disabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in charter schools and/or urban education
- Experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and strategies for various student populations
- Familiarity with response to intervention (RTI) and positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS)
- Training in crisis prevention and intervention techniques
- Proficiency in using educational software and technology for data collection and analysis
- Experience collaborating with community agencies and resources
- Strong advocacy skills for promoting students' well-being and academic success
- Coordinate relevant professional development for all SIA staff in the areas of the identified needs.
