Short Order Cook

Chair City Diner is looking for an organized and experienced Short Order Cook who can handle all aspects of food preparation for a diverse breakfast and lunch menu. Our team works in an ultra-modern, clean, and safe kitchen. We emphasize high quality food, presentation, good portions, excellent atmosphere, and friendliness. Must have experience cooking Breakfast and Lunch in a diner environment.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing food to customer specifications.
• Grilling, cooking, and frying foods.
• Managing orders to ensure all items of an order are served at the same time.
• Performing simple food preparation tasks, such as slicing up meats and vegetables, preparing sauces
• Cleaning food preparation equipment and areas.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in a diner environment, cooking breakfast & lunch
• Good time management skills
• Need strong communication skills to interact with front-end personnel.
• The ability to work quickly and efficiently
• Must be able to multitask during busy periods
• You should be prepared to stand for long periods of time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
