Shipping/Receivinjg is responsible for the daily shipping and some receiving functions in our facility ensuring smooth and consistent operations.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Identify and pick finished goods for shipping as designated by work orders. Items must be picked and then visually verified for accuracy relating to part number, quantity, product finishes, and/or order numbers.
• Maintains Shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information
• Prepare, package, document outgoing materials.
• Enter and maintain accurate inventory of materials and supplies in the ERP system (we use Netsuite)
• Stage loading and unloading areas with appropriate equipment, materials and space.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with Purchasing department to rectify damages and shortages
• Build skids of goods for truck shipment. Tasks include selecting sequence that the goods are stacked and choosing the appropriate packing materials (i.e. Wrap and strap, skid packs, crates, etc.) in order to assure material is delivered in good condition to its destination.
• Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Operate machinery to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area
• Enter and maintain accurate inventory of materials and supplies in the ERP system
• Process returned items
• Identify and pick material for production as designated by work orders. Items must be picked and then visually verified for accuracy relating to part number, quantity, product finishes, and/or order numbers.
• Keep all bins, aisles, and storage areas clean and clearly labeled
• Maintains receiving and dock area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

· 1-2 years successful experience in shipping and/or receiving and material handling

• Ability to prioritize workload in order to facilitate on time shipment of ready goods.

· High sense of urgency

· Very good English written and verbal skills

· Strong attention to details

· Excellent organizational skills

· Ability to meet physical requirements of position

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

· Continually required to stand for long periods of time

· Continually required to walk

· While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud

· Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs

· May require usage of specialized equipment: dollies, pallet jacks, and forklift in loading and unloading, conveying, moving, and lifting materials to appropriate areas.
