Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Logistics Clerk) prepares, arranges, schedules, inspects and records all inbound and outbound shipments.
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Receive all deliveries.
- Enter critical information from the asset to correctly identify and track the asset within the GRID during the Registration, Batch Management and / or Order Picking process steps.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with internal staff or with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Maintain and manage all shipping and receiving documents, photos, and records.
- Cleaning, packaging, boxing items to prepare for shipment.
- Picking items for customer orders from finished goods inventory.
- Create and review packing lists for accuracy.
- Arrange, coordinate and schedule receipts and shipments, including FTL/LTL and UPS/FedEx.
- Assist in other warehouse duties when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Strength and stamina to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with RF scanners.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, listen to and understand work-orders, policies, and procedures.
- Reliable and dependable attendance.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
2+ years experience applying similar skills or in similar roles
