Shipping Specialist
Basic Scope/Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service by accurately packaging finished product into inventory, ensuring inventory accuracy, and the timely movement of product.
Principal Accountabilities:
Shipping and Warehousing
- Accurately count, package, and label finished goods and work-in-process, per order and customer specifications.
- Accurately prepare shipments and Purchase Orders to outside service vendors.
- Prepare material for shipment, per provided company and customer instructions.
- Coordinate with Carriers on the pickup, transportation and delivery of goods to customers.
- Accurately maintain lot integrity of all products.
- Safely operate all equipment including pallet wrap equipment, forklifts, and walkies.
- Follow all safety procedures including lifting techniques and limits
- Execute receiving functions, including chemicals.
- When practical, adheres to FIFO (first in, first out) when putting finished goods in stock and removing from stock
- Execute cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Accurate completion of all inventory transactions.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Environmental, Health & Safety
- Collaborate with Shipping Team Lead to ensure operations are compliant with all safety & environmental requirements.
- Drive safety culture with pro-active hazard identification and communication to Management.
- Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself, co-workers and visitors free from injury by participating in and/or conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, corrective actions and safety observations.
- Reinforce safety margins through active participation in incident investigations, corrective actions managed shift changes, toolbox talks, pre-tasking, STOP WORK, and task scanning.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion and keep equipment in proper working condition.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
- 1-3 years of Warehousing experience, including forklift operation, preferred.
- Prior transportation and logistics experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
