Compensation range: $23.50-$27.65/hour

The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator position works alongside the Splice-Amazon Asset Management and Warehouse teams to ensure that all shipments are completed safely and with minimal loss. This position will also work with the Splice Operations teams to develop processes and best practices for the shipping program.
Essential Functions
- Track all phases of a shipment from pickup to delivery and report on all relevant milestones.
- Active process improvement.
- Develop and improve the tools needed to support the shipping program.
- Communicate and train our warehouse partners on new processes.
- Work with the Operations Manager to develop and track the KPI’s for the shipping program.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of the shipping industry including truckload, less-than-truckload, and air freight.
- Knowledge of proper packing, protection, loading, and unloading practices.
- Ability to read and understand all types of shipping documents including bills of lading, shipping manifests, commercial invoices, and packing slips.
- General knowledge of the shipping claims process.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Outlook, Excel, and MS Word.
- Ability to manage multiple activities & projects.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Associates Degree preferred but not required.
- 4+ years of experience in shipping or freight forwarding.
- Experience in warehousing and product handling.
- Experience in Canadian and American customs processes preferred.
KEY PROFICIENCIES or Personal Competencies:
- Excellent communicator.
- Persistent in following process and driving compliance.
- Proven experience with customer service with stakeholder
