Shipping Clerk(Perdue Distribution Center)

Summary

The Shipping Clerk ensures that the paperwork on inbound and outbound loads is able to be processed completely. Provides basic administrative and/or clerical support.

*12 Hour Shifts with Rotating Days*

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Receive paperwork from the inbound driver. Key inbound order into Catalyst. Verify all informantion is correct. Generate reports as required by the SOP’s. Verify pick sheets, load diagrams, weight manifests to ensure all outbound loads are correct and meet SOP’s. Communicate with Perdue’s Transportation department when needed. Promote and maintain a positive customer service environment. Maintain all files within the shipping office. Purge files as determined by SOP’s. Sign off and monitor daily HACCP checklists Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Other Duties and responsibiliteis as assigned by management.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred. Reading, writing, math and analytical skills required.

Experience Requirements

6 months expereince as Shipping or Inventory Clerk.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Must wear mandatory personal protective equipment. Climate controlled environment. Must be able to use standard office equipment, such as a computer, printer, telephone, copier, fax etc. Some equipment located 50 feet away. Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach to file as necessary. Ability to remain stationary for intervals of 2 hours. Must be able to move though the facility. Ability to occasionally lift 20-50 lbs. Exposure to the distribution/production environment.
