Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

Job Duties:

· Ensure all orders are entered into WMS prior to receipt on shipping dock

· Grief resolution with orders in WMS

· Maintain hard copies of Ships and Receipts data

· Maintain Shipping and Receiving logs

· Audit Ships and Receipts data in WMS against Ship & Receipt logs at the end of each shift

· Communicate with the Lafayette Logistics Group current inventory via WMS

· Receive inventory into WMS

· Enter weight and dimension information into WMS

· Update LEIS/MESA up to RTS when loaded and shipped

· Work order priority based on RTS date

· Put together BOL with engine card and ship loose sheets prior to pick up.

· Properly sign out a BOL

· Maintain original signed BOL for each order

· Maintain fax and e-mail logs of releases

· Other work assigned by customer and approved by Warehouse Manager

· Other work as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

· Train loaders on WMS receiving, shipping, and verifying process

· Any duty or task assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required

· At least one year of prior experience in an administrative / clerical / office role required; Prior experience in the transportation and/or warehousing industry a plus

Other Requirements:

· Strong basic computer skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; AS400 proficiency strongly preferred

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Attentive to detail

· Dependable and punctual

· Organized

· Strong multi-tasking skills

· Self-motivated

· Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
