Talent Management Professionals has partnered up with a reputable client in the Mattoon, IL area within the Manufacturing Industry. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for ensuring a smooth inbound and outbound process for fulfilling orders efficiently to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. We are looking for a proactive individual who is passionate about creating a positive and productive work environment. This is a 1st Shift position and the hourly rate is $18.00/hr.

General Job Summary: Under supervision from a floor supervisor or manager, the floor clerk provides clerical support to the shipping department. Responsibilities may vary by location but can include one or more of the following: Receiving, Shipping, Returns, Inventory Control, Quality Control, etc. This position ensures an efficient operation. It also organizes and disseminates information by using the inventory management system, telephone, web sites and email.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: $18.00/hr

• Retrieve paperwork from inbound shipments
• Perform audits on materials
• Enter information from inbound shipments (BOLs, Email, Invoices) into excel spreadsheet or customer inventory management
• Familiarity with spreadsheet and inventory management systems
• Knowledge of basic BOL terminology
• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Requires walking, bending, and lifting
• 50lb lifting requirement
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
