Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Advent Design is seeking an Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join its growing business. Advent Design's specialty in custom equipment means there's something new every day. All systems are designed and built from the ground up and each one is unique, in its own way.

Position is based in Bristol, Pa. All levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Primary Duties:

· Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the items against packing lists or purchase orders.

· Inspect received goods for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate parties.

· Unpack, label, and arrange received items in the designated storage areas.

· Prepare and pack items for outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.

· Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups or deliveries to meet deadlines.

· Generate shipping labels and documentation, including bills of lading and customs paperwork for international shipments.

· Track and update shipment status, providing relevant information to customers or internal stakeholders.

Other Duties:

· Support the corporate Continuous Improvement Program by identifying and proposing all cost reduction and product improvement ideas.

· Identify Process Improvement opportunities, recommend solutions, and drive the implementation of the selected improvements.

· Manage your time efficiently and with minimal supervision. Meet required deliverables and expectations. Communicate issues and delays immediately before they affect project schedule.

Job Requirements:

Must be a US citizen and pass a background check

· Ability to stand for 4 to 6 hours a day.

· Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
