Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Summary:

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, your main responsibility will be to facilitate the smooth and organized movement of goods within our organization. Your duties will include receiving, inspecting, and recording inbound shipments and preparing and packaging products for outbound shipments. You will work closely with different departments to ensure that the delivery of goods is accurate and timely. Your contribution to this process is instrumental in the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Handling and managing packing slips and purchase orders
• Inputting/interpreting data using Shipping and Receiving software
• Accurately manage and document incoming and outgoing shipments
• Audit items issued to trailers
• Schedule and coordinate SNAP activities to ensure on-time shipments and accurate documentation and control inventory variances as needed.
• Backup on Cycle Counting
• Perform other Shipping & Receiving duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least one year of experience in scheduling, planning, or inventory
• Control in a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles and practices.
• Previous experience and knowledge of MRP systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
