Shipping and Receiving
- Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company.
- Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis.
- Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments.
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular Shipping and Receiving reports for managers.
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
- Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.
- Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.
- Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.
Quality Assurance
- Register, test WIP & finished samples. Determine quality levels, determine pass or fail of material, quantify results & record data.
- Sample and test incoming raw materials or work in process as required and classify by grade.
- Must be able to accurately determine flake and pellet color via visual inspection to determine quality level.
- Maintain all databases and records for the department.
- Provide accurate, clear and immediate feedback to Wash Line & Extrusion Operators, Process Technicians, Shift Leaders, Production Manager and Quality Manager regarding quality issues via radio and email.
- Maintain and calibrate some laboratory equipment.
- Maintain and clean laboratory instruments or equipment.
- Follow production GMPS’s and quality GLP’s.
- Perform Melt Index Flow analysis.
- Perform KOH titration analysis.
- Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment.
- Obey safety hazard requirements and use appropriate PPE.
- Be aware of inventory levels of product/s being used at the moment and report when depleting that product/s
- Other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications/Licenses: Tow motor license / Forklift certification preferred but not required.
- Excellent organization and administrative skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English effectively.
- Good computer skills especially in Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Experience with measuring equipment, SPC and quality systems is a plus.
- Must have accurate color visual aptitude.
- Must be detailed oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Must be coachable.
