We're looking for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in Germantown, MD. This is an important role, pivotal to the success of the clinical trials that are being worked on daily. The position is a full-time, non-exempt role with full benefits.
What you will do:
As the Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Pharmaron, you will be responsible for preparing all incoming and outgoing shipments.
This entails:
- Keeping track of all materials, stock and equipment that is shipped in and out via shipping log.
- Receiving and verifying incoming shipments based on delivery note/packing list/purchase order.
- Examining all materials received are in good condition and checks the physical product label against description on Purchase Order
- Loading and unloading materials.
- Filling out bills of lading, invoices, and other records required for the shipment of goods.
- Comparing prices and carrier services to obtain the best shipping rates.
- Tracking, tracing and updating the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Communicating effectively with shippers, carriers, and the internal team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Maintaining appropriate documentation to demonstrate positive control of study-related materials with guidance.
- Monitoring Rees temperature monitoring system and generate monthly reports for all temperature controlled units onsite (training will be provided).
- Completing periodic checks and removal (when necessary) of liquid waste from all laboratories (training will be provided)
- Performing all tasks in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLPs) and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
What We Are Looking For:
You'll bring your experience in shipping & receiving to the team, you'll be able to jump in and take this role to the next level and identify areas of improvements that could be made.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- High School diploma (GED or equivalent) plus 2 years' experience in an shipping & receiving role
- Familiarity with GLP, GCP, GXP guidelines
- Experience working in a laboratory setting
- Proficient in computer skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively utilize various computer applications
