Thrift Store/Receiving Clerk

Montgomery County Humane Society is looking for a hard-working, reliable individual to work in our large, charity thrift store.

Key responsibilities include setting up for donation days, but are not limited to donation day set-up and tear-down, receiving of donations from the public; sorting incoming inventory and delivering it to the appropriate area for processing; cleaning and pricing inventory as assigned; stocking shelves and creating pleasing displays; regularly straightening inventory and cleaning the store; assisting customers and the cashier. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. in a safe manner is a requirement of the position. Experience in a thrift or second-hand retail environment highly desired. Other retail or consumer goods warehouse experience helpful. The job requires standing for long periods of time, as well as stooping, squatting, bending and lifting. The successful candidate will be a flexible, positive, energetic and proactive team player, as well as a quick learner who is capable of working independently.

This is a full-time position, but MCHS will consider part-time for highly qualified applicants. Must be available to work on Sundays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
