Shipping and Receiving Clerk

```Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments in our warehouse or distribution center. This is a crucial role in ensuring that products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Unload, unpack, and stock incoming products in designated storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer orders
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and update shipment records
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely shipment of products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including shelves, racks, and shipping/receiving areas

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferred
- Familiarity with e-commerce processes and order fulfillment systems is a plus
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems or ability to quickly learn new software
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and documentation
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or discrepancies
