SUMMARY
Helps coordinate the flow of each day’s inbound and outbound shipments, schedules outgoing truck and airfreight shipments. Must be proficient in stand-up forklift and SAP. Works hand in hand with employees in a warehouse setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Including the following, and other duties that may be assigned.
RECEIVING
· Strong focus on the Receiving function of the warehouse, including identifying process changes to improve quality and efficiency of this function.
· Must have the knowledge, skills and ability to receive shipments including verification and identification of materials and quantities received.
SHIPPING
· Backup for the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator.
· Helps oversee the process to prepare and load customer shipments.
· Creates bills of lading, delivery notes, labels and other documents.
· Supports the management of warehouse supplies and packaging materials.
· Arranges truck/container arrivals for pick up.
· Scans and otherwise checks shipments prior to loading. Monitors daily completion of all shipments.
· Coordinates cross dock functions.
SAP/WMS
· Proficient in SAP WMS functions
· Assists in troubleshooting WMS / SAP problems.
· Works with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams, basic level.
GENERAL
· Works closely with the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator and the Warehouse Supervisor.
· Interacts with Customer Service, Logistics and other departments.
· Ensures warehouse safety, cleanliness, and order, including trash, pallet/wood and cardboard removal.
· Back-up, as needed, for Shipping & Receiving Operators. Occasionally spends some or most of his or her time of a given day preparing or loading outgoing shipments or unloading and putting away incoming materials.
· Supports inventory reconciliation.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED is required. Five to ten years of working in a warehouse is a must, supervisory experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is required to read and comprehend simple instructions, write short correspondence and memos. The employee is required to clearly communicate instructions to subordinates.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
The employee is required to perform numerous standard mathematical calculations and understand the metric system, as well as the English system of measurements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Continuous education, advancement and knowledge building skills are encouraged. The employee must hold or obtain a forklift operation certificate.
