Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders
- Inspect packages for damages and report any discrepancies to the supervisor
- Unload and unpack shipments, ensuring items are properly labeled and organized
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting appropriate packaging materials and labeling them accurately
- Operate forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment to move and transport materials
- Maintain inventory records and update the MRP system with incoming and outgoing shipments
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconciling any discrepancies
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist in delivering orders to customer
Requirements:
- Valid drivers license and good driving record
- Pass background check and drug test
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately inspect packages for damages or discrepancies
- Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying quantities
- Familiarity with MRP systems or similar inventory management software is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required in a warehouse environment
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and ensure efficient operations
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and processes is beneficial
Experience:
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (not required)
