THE OPPORTUNITY:
Based at our operations in Harrison Township, Michigan the Shift Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all set ups are correct to obtain production quality and quantity requirements by production and quality standards for each job. Also, to contribute to a human work environment where fairness, equity and non-discriminatory practices are the standard.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- To perform all scheduled equipment changes within established time standards by ensuring correct tools are used and return tools and parts to designated areas.
- Ensure all process equipment functions accurately meeting cycle times and quality standards by continually monitoring all vital systems involved in the production process, assisting material handlers in the performance of their duties, making corrections where necessary and possible; report such corrections and problems to the Production Manager and Quality Department.
- Responsible for programming of machine such as entering of molds numbers into the computer.
- Properly document process verification and job setup sheets
- Monitor, reward, and discipline floor personnel
- Check all materials by ensuring all materials meet job and material standards, verifying color concentrates are blended accurately to job standards, ensuring there is no raw material loss through set-up of handling systems.
- Changing of molds when required and doing minor repairs to mold if needed.
- Material Handling when required.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Injection Molding Machines/Equipment.
- Mathematical Aptitude.
- Good Communication Skills.
- Mechanical Aptitude.
- Ability to work independently.
