Position: Plastic Injection Molding Setter

Main Responsibilities: The Plastic Injection Mold Setter will be responsible for setting up and maintaining Plastic Injection Molding machines and ensuring they operate efficiently. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver, have a strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently.
- Set up and maintain various sizes of molds into Plastic Injection Molding machines to insure parts are produced within specification.
- Perform machine and mold changes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform any necessary mold adjustments during set up, check accuracy during production and troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to the mold.
- Configure, adjust and operate automatic or semi-automatic presses and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure the quality production of assigned jobs at expected production level.
- Operate overhead crane to transport molds to and from each press.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure production goals are met.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during machine and mold changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum one year experience with setting steel molds, changing fluid lines and operating an overhead crane.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of quality control, cost reduction, materials and productions processes; Basic knowledge of press operation. Good communication skills. Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions; Ability to accurately prepare documents, production sheets and other reports and related paperwork as required by our procedures.
Physical Demands: The position is in a manufacturing environment and involves walking, standing for long periods of time throughout the day. It requires being able to lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 75 pounds. Stooping/bending/twisting is required on regular basis.
Work Environment: Work performed in a manufacturing environment.
