Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Manager to join our team!

As the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department, including inventory management, order processing, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain inventory levels of Automotive Parts and supplies
- Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate with suppliers to source and procure parts
- Utilize an order management system to track orders and manage inventory
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries and resolving issues
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure efficient storage and organization of parts
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of inventory counts
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize parts department operation

  • Minimum 5 years of Automotive Parts department managerial/operational experience
  • The ability to satisfactorily meet or exceed forecasts set forth, as well as meeting industry standards on both growth and performance.
  • Manufacturer relationship skills
  • Setting weekly, monthly, and annual objectives --- Accomplishing these objectives by using proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, pricing, merchandising, and advertising
  • Hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring performance of all parts department staff
  • Maintaining a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the Service Dept and other remote locations
  • Must have the ability to establish individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover
  • Inventory control – weekly bin checks, monthly inventory reconciliations
  • Monitoring and adjusting inventory to minimize obsolescence
  • Develop and utilizes a “lost sales” tracking report with all brands
  • Management of parts inventories over $500,000.00. Multi-brand experience is preferred but not required
  • Dealer Track DMS and Hyundai, Subaru, or Volvo experience is preferred
  • All applicants must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, and drug test

  • 8 hour shift
