Primary duties will consist of but not be limited to:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the service department.
- Lead a team of skilled technicians and mechanics, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform high-quality work.
- Maintain and improve service standards and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage service schedules to meet customer needs and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of service and repair activities.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues professionally and promptly.
- Implement cost-effective strategies to control expenses and increase profitability.
- Work closely with parts and inventory management to ensure efficient stock levels.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and technological advancements in diesel engines and Heavy Truck systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Service Manager in the Heavy Truck and diesel service industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of Heavy Trucks and diesel engines.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Proficient in computer software for record-keeping and data analysis.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to the industry.
- ASE Certification is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant vocational training is preferred.
