We are looking for a Dispatcher to join our team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, and excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Experience is required. We are looking for a candidate who has 2+ years of dispatching experience in the fire protection industry, or similar industry.
This is a full-time non-exempt position reporting to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. This position will work full-time at our Seattle office.
$27-32/hour depending on experience.
Essential Job Functions:
• Work with Department Manager, Account Managers, and customers to schedule regular and emergency service calls.
• Contact customers regarding upcoming services.
• Serve as point of contact for technicians for all appointment-related questions.
• Prioritize calls and service requests according to urgency and importance.
• Take down detailed and accurate information regarding customer and service location to ensure scheduled appointments are executed seamlessly.
• Record accurate customer information and job notes in Servicetrade.
• Keep a constant awareness of service area, truck charge maps, and cities by jurisdiction.
• Address all customer concerns immediately and report to Department Manager as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma;
2+ years of dispatching and scheduling experience in a related industry;
Proficient in Microsoft programs, Servicetrade, and Building Reports highly preferred;
Ability to be friendly and helpful to all customers over the phone and in-person;
Dependable, reliable, and punctual;
Ability to self-direct and take initiative.
Physical Requirements
This position requires sitting for most of the day in front of a computer at our office location in Seattle.
Seldom lifting of supplies and equipment weighing 30+ pounds.
