Manage and maximize the financial performance of the Service Deli department. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.
Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
Essential Job Functions:
- Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain compliance with the following:
o divisional merchandising, general safety and food safety, fixtures/equipment usage and maintenance, and shrink control
o corporate policies
o labor agreements, when applicable
o quality ordering
o freight stocking standards
- Sell products to customers; teach selling skills
- Plan ads/store events
- Implement weekly Merchandise Notes/bulletins, and memos to complete merchandising assignments
- Maintain awareness of daily/weekly sales and goals and communicate to associates
- Implement the period promotional plan
- Perform price changes, audit, and correct errors
- Promote and follow Company initiatives
- Perform cashier functions
- Verify completion of daily tours
- Participate in the associate scheduling process
- Maintain clean condition of the facilities
- Review/analyze and take action on all financial reports
- Respond to verbal and written customer comments
- Complete customer incident and associate incident/accident report forms
- Perform inventory
- All store management work with associates to manage all common associate areas (i.e. break rooms and training areas) to make sure they are inviting inappearance and reflect "Our People Are Great"
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus six months of Fred Meyer experience and two years of related retail experience; orcombination of relevant education and experience
- Minimum 18 years of age/19 years of age in Idaho
- Ability to pass drug test
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift and work overtime as needed
- Ability to travel independently on an occasional basis
- Maintain confidentiality
- Accuracy/attention to detail
- Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
- Ability to work within set time frames
- Ability to continue education
- Kroger Food Safety Level 1 Certification
- Valid driver's license
- Any licenses or certificates required by federal and/or state
- Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and current Company email
- Experience directing and participating on project teams
The final rate of pay is determined at store level based on prior equivalent work experience.
