Job Description:

The Algorithm & Simulation (A&S) Directorate is responsible for algorithm development including Guidance, Navigation, and Control; radio frequency (RF) and electro-optical/infrared (EO-IR) Signal Processing; and missile-and-sensor-level Modeling and Simulation for RMD's broad portfolio of projects, programs and products. The GNC effectors teams design, integrate, and optimize guidance, navigation, state estimation, and control algorithms to meet mission objectives. We support new business initiatives and help develop & execute technology roadmaps. Our portfolio of supported programs includes most effectors systems within RMD.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• The GNC Section Lead will have a technical role on at least one program in addition to performing the day-to-day leadership of a group of GNC engineers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement.
• You will perform leadership duties including performance development and appraisal, salary planning, manpower planning, career coaching, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
• You will contribute to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.
• You will help model our RTX values and nurture a collaborative work environment

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in STEM and eight (8) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and five (5) years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, twelve (12) years of relevant experience is required
• Experience in GNC domain, with at least three (3) years in missile systems applications
• Experience with control system integration and testing, including at least two of the following: 6DOF simulation, flight software integration, modal testing, and/or closed loop frequency response testing
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and C++
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
