This position provides support in the Service Center by taking necessary steps to fulfill the mission/vision of developing Christ Like leaders through providing meaningful service in the local communities. This includes customer service, building relationships with off-campus partners, and building awareness of the Service Center among students. Advocates with school administration for student concerns and generate activities or programs that enhance student experience on campus.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports leadership development
- Maintains and adds to Service Center electronic and paper files
- Assists in maintaining social media accounts to promote Service Center and its events
- Establishes trust with Service Council
- Establishes patterns of collecting and interpreting data for events
- Supports supervisor in their responsibilities by flexibility to change/add tasks
- Attends one on one meeting with supervisor
- Creates events in Campus Labs (form of online calendaring that allows all students a visual)
- Collaborates design theme for events with supervisor
- Helps research for new partners
- Helps organize campus projects
- Initiates schedule requests through campus labs
Qualifications:
- Applicant must be on the island of Oahu
- Customer service experience
- Microsoft Office capabilities (or other word processing software)
- Fluent English (writing, speaking, reading)
- Previous event planning/management experience
- Data assessment experience
- Lives by the school Code of Honor
- Current USA driver’s license (or able to obtain)
- 2.5+ GPA
Preferred Qualities:
- Leadership/managing experience; overseeing of others
- Network of relationships on and off campus
- Previous event planning/management experience for large groups (50+ people)
- Promotion skills in social media
- Team work skills and capabilities
- Time management
- Experience in an office with organization skills

Commitment Date:
The student employee must agree to a minimum period of 1-year employment. The candidate is able to start immediately.

Base Rate Per Hour:
14.00
