Annual Salary/Hiring Range:$60,000-$65,000; actual salary depends on qualifications.
Job Purpose:Reporting to the Institute Director, the Programs Manager oversees the planning, execution and tracking of multiple, interconnected program areas and works to ensure they collectively serve the mission and strategic priorities of the Arts in Basic Curriculum (ABC) Institute.
Job Summary:- Ensures effective coordination across all programmatic areas and projects.
- Develops, executes and grows professional learning opportunities within the Leadership Development program.
- Manages and secures Arts Teacher Summer Institute grants from the South Carolina Department of Education; designs synchronous and asynchronous professional learning courses; hires and trains program personnel; and secures contracted services.
- Provides supervisory support and guidance on annual goal development, budget management, grant reporting, program development and opportunities, contracted services and program personnel, to the Institute’s three program specialists.
- Works extensively with the ABC programs team to administer ABC programs and services throughout the state.
- Works closely with the ABC Business Operations Manager to manage the overall program budget.
- Assists with grant reporting and ensures all programmatic expenses comply with university, state and federal guidelines.
- Serves as a liaison for the ABC Institute at programs sponsored by the ABC Institute and its governing partner and other professional events, as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five (5) years of teaching and/or instructional design experience in K-12 education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of teaching and/or instructional design experience in K-12 education.
- Experience with learning management systems and implementation of educational technology for instructional purposes.
- Experience presenting and/or organizing professional learning for educators.
- Exceptional project management, documentation, organizational, and oral and written communication skills.
- Proven effective interpersonal skills among diverse community stakeholders, including those within and beyond education.
- Sufficient technical skills, including proficiency with cloud-based technology, to perform job duties at a high level.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
