Ikigai is a new Japanese restaurant in Eagle Rock, CA. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time servers. Our current opening hours are: Lunch (Wed-Sun) - 12 - 2:30 PM and Dinner (Mon-Sun) - 5 - 9:30 PM. Lunch shifts start at 11:30 AM, and dinner shifts start at 4:30 or 5 PM.
Requirements:
- Food Handler Card
- RBS Card (Responsible Beverage Service)
- Previous food industry/hospitality experience required
- Flexible work schedule required
Tasks/Responsibilities include:
- Greet and welcome customers in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
- Create a warm, friendly dining environment
- Neat appearance and proper work attire - black/plain t-shirt or longsleeve, pants, shoes
- Take and serve food orders
- Use Toast POS system
- Have a detailed understanding of the menu
- Answer and address customers’ questions/concerns accurately and politely
- Anticipate customers’ needs - check on refills, updating orders, etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area and workstation
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Work effectively with other staff members in a helpful and polite manner
- Comply with required food handling and workplace safety procedures
