**Job Description: Server and Cashier at a Korean Fusion Restaurant**
**Position Overview:**
As a Server and Cashier at our Korean Fusion restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations in both the dining area and the cashier station. Your responsibilities will include greeting and assisting customers, taking orders, delivering food, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Customer Service:**
- Greet customers warmly and provide them with menus.
- Assist customers in selecting menu items and answering any questions they may have regarding the menu or specials.
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to enhance the dining experience.
2. **Order Taking and Delivery:**
- Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Communicate orders to kitchen staff promptly and ensure timely delivery of food to customers.
- Monitor and address any special requests or modifications to orders.
3. **Cashier Duties:**
- Process customer payments using cash registers or POS systems, including handling cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers as needed.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
4. **Upselling and Promotion:**
- Recommend additional menu items, specials, or beverages to customers to enhance their dining experience.
- Promote loyalty programs, discounts, and special promotions to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
5. **Cleaning and Maintenance:**
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and condiment stations.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
6. **Teamwork and Collaboration:**
- Work closely with kitchen staff, fellow servers, and management to ensure efficient and coordinated service.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to relay customer preferences, special requests, and any issues that arise during service.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and cash handling.
- Knowledge of Korean cuisine and familiarity with fusion cuisine is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
