Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take customer orders and accurately enter them into the POS system Toast POS experience a plus.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area
- Assist with basic food preparation in the kitchen, such as assembling salads or desserts
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of food
Skills:
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and making change
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient service
- Knowledge of basic food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and procedures
