Job Description
We are seeking a Cashier/Server to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for selling products, and services in a Caribbean restaurant setting in order to drive company revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet customers
- Follow all cash handling procedures and ensure cash is balanced daily
- Follow the meal portioning guide to ensure accurate quantities are being served
- Record temperature of food items on steam table throughout the day
- Prepare pastries for sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation, dining room and restrooms
- Count and replenish stock where needed
- Assist with the baking of products
- Follow all standard operating policies and procedures as outlined by Golden Krust
- Communicate effectively with the Manager, Supervisors, Chefs and other back kitchen staff
- Perform any other job-related duties that may be assigned
- Take catering orders
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, or other related fields is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Ability to communicate effectively orally
- Strong persuasive suggestive skills
- Ability to stand for extended hours
- Display a pleasant countenance
- Ability to follow all guidelines and procedures set forth by Golden Krust
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- A current FL Food Handler Permit/ServSafe Food Handler Permit is a Plus
