Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink choices
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns
Skills:
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices
- Knowledge of retail math for inventory management and pricing
- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or catering setting
- Familiarity with different types of beverages, brewing methods, and cocktail recipes
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
