We are looking to add an experienced practitioner of human-centered design to collaborate with our team of product managers and software engineers to create the next generation of the BatchService real-estate property intelligence and marketing enablement solutions.
Our real-estate property data platform is used by a wide range of customer cohorts to identify real-estate investment and home repair service opportunities, our marketing enablement tools enable our customers to manage their marketing outreach activities. Your role will be to work closely with our product management team to design web and mobile customer experiences that enable our customers to achieve the maximum potential of our software solutions.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the product discovery process by researching the outcomes that our customers look to achieve when using our solutions.
- Define customer personas and document their primary use cases using wireframing and prototyping techniques.
- Establish and document rules and principles around user interaction, usability patterns, responsive layouts, and accessibility for design systems.
- Collaborate with product managers to develop the UX/UI deliverables needed to deliver on the customer outcomes identified in the product discovery process.
- Perform usability testing with representative customers and assist the product managers with product feature acceptance testing.
- Present UX/UI designs for planned features to internal and external stakeholders and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
- Understand and contribute to the definition of the product strategy and ensure alignment across the product management team.
- Understand our property intelligence data assets and how they can be leveraged and enriched to increase the value of our solutions.
- Understand our business and how we acquire and retain customers so as to understand the needs of our internal stakeholders.
Understand the market ecosystems we participate in order to stay abreast of industry trends and customer expectations.
Skills and Qualifications:
7+ years of Interaction design experience or related design discipline on web and mobile applications.
- 2+ years managing team members.
- A Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Communications and Technology or related field of study.
- Experience with service blueprinting and user journey/experience mapping methodologies and/or related tools.
- Experience with design thinking and other human-centered design methodologies,
- A data-driven approach to making design and product decisions with experience using Pendo, Amplitude, Mix Panel, or Google Analytics.
- Strong client leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to command and guide a room.
- Proven ability to critique, analyze, and elevate strategies and ideas.
- Expert understanding of cross-functional resources and building effective teams.
- Strong user testing and research experience, capable of designing and running research and synthesizing insights into actionable outcomes.
- Strong information architecture experience.
- Experience working with large teams on long-term projects within an agile workflow.
- Current with UX design patterns, trends, and best practices.
- Well-versed in web accessibility guidelines and compliance.
Proficiency with modern prototyping and collaboration tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Miro, Mural, Axure (or equivalent).
