RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will be the key point of contact for team members and client leadership while working collaboratively with the Managing Partner on the strategic vision of the tax group. Your main duties will include the following:
- Assist in the delivery of exceptional client service by ensuring a high level of oversight on client engagements/projects with a primary focus on business returns (1120S, 1065) and the individual 1040 returns that flow from those entities.
- Assist in advising clients on key business decisions to help in the growth of client's business
- Develop strong, productive, and trustworthy relationships with clients and internal team members
- Manage engagement/project risk
- Lead/manage engagements
- Hire/train/develop/mentor associates to ensure the professional and personal growth of team members
- Act as a part of the firm's senior & executive leadership team to seek out effective, efficient ways to move things forward as the firm grows
REQUIREMENTS:
To succeed in this role, our client is seeking:
- BBA/BS in Accounting REQUIRED
- MBA/MS in Accounting a PLUS
- 5+ years of CURRENT or VERY RECENT PUBLIC ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE
- Above average knowledge of complex tax issues including extensive PARTNERSHIP TAX KNOWLEDGE
- CPA, Parts Passed or ability to sit for exam A MUST!!
- Our client will consider an EA or JD/LLM in lieu of a CPA
- Prior experience working with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, complex partnerships and S-Corp businesses
- Ability to HIT THE GROUND RUNNING and a verifiable track record of accomplishment and career growth
