Director, Innovation – Tax Reporting & Strategy

Director, Innovation – Tax Reporting & Strategy, PwC US Tax LLP, Austin, TX. Provide management consulting services to clients and to their large corporate tax functions. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory tax developments. Determine strategies in anticipation of tax law changes and regulatory developments. Analyze the economic impact of tax legislation and federal budget proposals and addressing technology needs. Identify and address client’s needs. Supervise and coach teams. Assist clients with practice management, through the duration of client engagements. Evaluate and enhance clients' indirect tax processes and/or systems to get better control over data and manage costs, including: State and local tax sales and use tax laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Provide clients with services such as tax planning, restructuring, due diligence, audit defense, reverse audits and state controversy work.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Tax or a related field, plus 7 years of related work experience.

In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept 2 additional years of related work experience.

Certification(s) required: Must have U.S. CPA license or foreign equivalent, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar.

Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:

-            Being actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients;

-            Developing technical strategies including application deployment, support, and enhancement to solve technical challenges;

-            Must have experience managing client’s financial resource requirements, budgets, billing and collections;

-            Working with GoSystem tax software such as VERTEX or ONESOURCE tax systems; and

-            Supervising and coaching staff.

80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.

Domestic and/or international travel up to 20% required.
