We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for, as part of a team, directing the architecture, configuration, integration, monitoring and support of on-prem and/or cloud-based hosting of custom developed applications and associated resources. The ideal candidate will have experience with server and storage technology on premise and in the cloud. This person will be focused on streamlining and automating the development and deployment processes of infrastructure in cloud, hybrid, and on-premise implementations using automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible and Azure ARM templates. Focus would also be on setting up health monitoring, backups and alerting for all environments. Use of PowerShell scripting experience is highly desirable. Prior work with Desired State Configuration (DSC), Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration and Delivery is also highly desirable. Evaluation, and recommendations of technologies will also be required.
- Upgrade and maintain Active Directory
- Support storage and server infrastructure along with cloud-based platforms
- Support, Design, and implement NetApp storage solutions including Snap-Protect and Snap Mirror
- Administer Windows and Linux servers on prem and in Azure
- Support and troubleshoot VMware ESXi and vSphere deployments
- Support building new systems and upgrading and patching existing ones
- Performance tuning of server and storage infrastructure on prem and in Azure
- Manage backup technologies (Veeam)
- Capacity management of server and storage infrastructure on prem and in Azure
- Build and manage dev/test environments, assisting developers in debugging
- Participate in the building of tools and processes to support the infrastructure
- Contribute to the creation of system support documents
- Leverage scripting to build required automation and tools
- Operate the platform within our security and privacy guidelines
- Learn on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision
- 3 + years of experience managing server and storage infrastructure
- Expert level Active Directory (Architect, Design and Maintain)
- Networking and application load balancing concepts and technologies
- NetApp storage, backup and recovery, and Disaster Recovery experience
- PowerShell (or similar) scripting/development experience
- Automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Azure ARM Templates or Chef
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
