- Dashboard Creation
- Application Troubleshooting
- User Administration
- Object Grooming
- Device Onboarding
- Creating / Generating System Health Reports
- Routine Application Administration of IBM Netcool Operations Insight (NOI) with duties such as:
- Application Troubleshooting
- Alarm/Event Engineering Support
- Impact Policy Support
- Report Creation / Security Compliance Support (SOC3)
- Development / Implementation / Delivery of tool enhancements in partnership with Senior NSI Staff.
- Automate operational tasks, identify, and contribute to automation activities.
You should definitely have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems & Technology / Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in Network Fault and Performance Management Systems Administration or high school diploma with at least 9 years of relevant work experience in large scale, complex, mission critical Engineering or Systems Management
- Experience with Event Management and Monitoring Systems including Netcool Omnibus and SevOne
- Experience with SQL and Oracle databases
- Experience with scripting tools such as Python, PowerShell, Perl
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems at the command line level
- Experience supporting a NOC and OSS tools for a managed service company
- Experience with Technologies such as (SNMP, API, Webhooks, WebSocket, Kafka)
- Understanding of KPI's (Jitter, Latency, RTT, Bandwidth Utilization)
- Understanding of MIB / OID structure
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills including good presentation skills
- Critical thinking, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Able to be self-managed and self-organized working independently or in teams
- Must have proven experience working in a project-based environment for the deployment of medium complex systems tools projects
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite, especially with using Visio to diagram systems and workflows
- Ability to be on-call 24/7 (business-side system support)
- Ability to lift equipment weighing 30lbs (more weight with assistance)
It would be nice if you had:
- Experience working with the IBM Netcool Network Fault Monitoring suite of tools such as Dash, Impact, Object Server, Gateways, Probes, Log Analytics
- Experience working with Network Performance Monitoring tools like SevOne, Grafana, Cacti
- Knowledge of basic networking hardware - Cisco / Juniper
- Certifications, such as: DevOps, scripting languages, CCNA, ITIL certification, Netcool, ServiceNow and related technologies or applications
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Knowledge of diverse satellite telecommunications products and services preferred
- Positive and cheerful attitude with a lively and outgoing disposition
