PRIMARY FUNCTION
StraitSys is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support the FBI in Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Systems Administrator will collaborate to develop innovative solutions to enable secure and reliable operations of enterprise computer systems. Using your extensive expertise, you will develop new concepts and processes, analyze root causes, and resolve complex issues. You'll provide support to developmental and operational systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client, server, storage, and network devices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Install and administer Linux and Unix operating systems and provisioning applications.
• Install and administer Microsoft Windows environments.
• Administer AWS cloud environment.
• Administer Windows Server / Active Directory Admin.
• Administer Big Data environments such as Hadoop and Acumulo and provisioning software.
• Administer VMWare hypervisor environment and provisioning software.
• Administer storage platforms which provision the environment.
• Evaluate system problems of workflow, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action; Perform quality control of processes and products produced.
• Assist in the formulation of technical strategies and processes for administered systems.
• Write, interpret and analyze technical documentation related to system administration.
• Provide consulting support, if requested, to working groups (both internal and external) and committees as substantive authority in subject area.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
• Experience with:
• Linux and Unix operating systems and provisioning applications
• Windows Server operating system environments
• Windows Server / Active Directory Admin
• Big Data environments such as Hadoop and Acumulo and provisioning software
• VMWare hypervisor environment and provisioning software
• Extensive knowledge of methodology, federal information system policies (e.g. NIST 800.53, FISMA, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), configuration management
• Implementation of Government system design; and extensive knowledge and experience in the implementation of information technology equipment and services
• Knowledge of configuration management tools, i.e., Ansible, Puppet
• Familiarity with Dell hardware installation and configuration.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Ten (10) years of related experience to include five (5) years of prior system administration experience.
• Four (4) year degree in applicable discipline preferred.
• Multiple System certifications in provisioning technologies such as Redhat Certified, Linux+, Security+ preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
