The Marketing digital experience team is looking for passionate and dynamic UX Design Specialist to research, design, & create the next generation experiences for our WillScot external websites and internal associate facing applications and websites. You will directly support the Marketing digital experience team to enhance the usability, create workflow efficiencies, and delight customers / users through the enablement of intuitive cross channel technology solutions.
As a UX Design Specialist, you'll be helping to design digital experiences for WillScot as we transition to a new web platform in 2024. We'll look to you to champion dynamic user experiences and use your creativity to deliver them. You'll provide input on every aspect of UX, from research and concepting, to design and information architecture.
- Provides user interface (UI) design services, including designing highly usable web page/site layout, navigation, and content elements while maximizing system performance. Translates business requirements and user needs into UI designs.
- Designs mockups and prototypes in Figma
- Updates content on website(s) using CMS (Contentful)}
- Works in partnership with marketing team, cross-departmental teams, business stakeholders and external vendors.
- Considers every aspect of the user's experience, with business and marketing goals, to coordinate and deliver design, prototype, and research documentation.
- Has intermediate knowledge of user-centered design principles, visual design, user behavior, and interactions.
- Tests UI design as it's developed to ensure pages project desired look and feel. Recommends improvements in web functionality, navigation, and UI design elements. Serves as an informal functional tester for web UI design projects.
- Analyzes data and user feedback to make key design decisions.
- Utilizes technical knowledge to produce achievable and efficient solutions
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Digital Product Design, Digital Marketing, User Centered Design
- 5-7 years experience as a designer in an agency or corporate marketing environment.
- Demonstrated creation of UX deliverables (Wireframes, prototypes, site maps, user flows, personas) required.
- Digital Portfolio of design work - Please provide URL in application.
- Ability to synthesize and articulate complex concepts targeted to multiple audiences and modalities.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Results oriented; drive and desire to build a design career (marketing, user experience design); Time management skills, in addition to:
- Experience with UX design software such as Figma, Sketch, XD and Adobe Creative Creative Cloud
- Experience using Contentful (or other similar CMS), Storybook (React Native UI), and Bynder (or other DAM)
- Ability to synthesize and articulate complex concepts targeted to multiple audiences.
- Effectively communicates verbal, written, and designed content.
- Experience in website design & development and design for enterprise-wide digital solutions
