Job Description


The Senior NCLEX Success Specialist (NSS) will provide direct support for WFD BSN and LPN nursing students throughout and after the nursing program supporting retention and progression of students, and in preparation for taking the NCLEX exam following graduation.

  • In collaboration with the school-in-a-Box, Workforce Development team, Student Service support, Senior Corporate Director of Licensure, the Senior NCLEX Success Specialists leads the NCLEX Success team by working with NCLEX Success faculty Coaches, faculty, and students struggling with weekly examinations, CMS, Comp Predictor, NCLEX style testing, and remediation.
  • Assists site staff and online didactic faculty with coordinating and enforcing campus and ATI policies and procedures related to ATI CMS exams and NCLEX Success.
  • Leads training, tracking and monitoring of ATI Faculty orientation including oversight and reporting of Champion Certification within 30 days of effective date, including completion of assigned ATI modules or workshops.
  • Shares ATI Champion role with the site-based Director of Nursing Academic Services
  • In collaboration with the Corporate Licensure team, Director of Nursing Academic Services, and faculty, the Senior NSS will track and implement and document academic support and resources for students from beginning to end of program.
  • Leads and collaborates utilizing real-time monitoring and analyzation of Power BI weekly At-Risk meetings to identify and participate with at-risk students and assists and follow up with exam preparation for all School in the box BSN and VN sites.
  • Leads in operations, planning and execution of new student orientation at start of student lifecycle, and again, prior to core nursing courses.
  • Real-time continuous monitoring and analyzation of Power BI academic Performance Dashboard and collaborates with faculty and campus leadership to develop follow-up plans for the following exam data:
  • ATI CMS, Comprehensive Predictor benchmarks, Capstone exams, Practice Assessments, and other exams as deemed necessary per the curriculum.
  • Collaborates with campus in reconciling official NCLEX results to trackers and performs deep dive analysis of students that were unsuccessful on NCLEX examination.
  • Collaborates with the campus Nursing Administration in analysis of the NCSBN Mountain Measures report and developing plans for improvement.
  • Plans In-services for students, and Professional Development opportunities for faculty related to test taking, test writing, NCLEX preparation, NGN, etc.
  • Maintains active awareness of academic challenges of WFD students, provides contact and documentation with pre and post grad students through program to encourage and guide students including continued use and demonstration of ATI products and internal organizational resources.
  • Assess and develop student and/or cohort facing workshops addressing academic concerns.
  • Collaborates with students prior and post-graduation to provide a data driven NCLEX-RN study guide to promote NCLEX-RN Academic readiness and prompt licensure testing utilizing the Power of Six organization model.
  • Collaborates with campus Nursing Administration on NCLEX Tracking through students, instructors, and state board of nursing website.
  • Collaborates with the campus Nursing Administration in analysis of the NCSBN Mountain Measures report and developing plans for improvement.
  • Leads all Licensure department initiatives in collaboration with the campus, ensuring including enforcing and operationalizing the use of all ATI national initiatives, enforced for licensure examination prompt testing to support the organization's Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Completes reconciliation of board of nursing report with identification of testers, passers, and completion of academic deep dive of unsuccessfully licensure candidates.
  • Participates in campus or organizational committees.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure or eligible in all states where Workforce Development programs are established including California.
  • Master’s degree in nursing required; Terminal Degree in Nursing (DNP, EdD, PhD) preferred.
  • Able to meet the faculty requirements set by California's Board of Registered Nursing and all states where School-in-a-Box operates.
  • Experience which demonstrates: Current knowledge of nursing practice; ability to mentor and coach students; effective communication skills, both verbal and written; pre-licensure nursing online teaching experience required utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Prior work with students preparing for NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exam administration and licensure.
  • Familiarity with distance technologies such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams to connect with students and faculty in the online space.
