We're looking for a Senior Silicon Failure Analysis Engineer. You will work with Nvidia's groundbreaking products in an exciting multi-functional environment. This position is critical in maintaining the quality and reliability of NVIDIA datacenter products.
What you will be doing:
- Lead multi-functional teams, aligning and maintaining the plan, methodologies, and requirements vital to achieving industry-leading chip quality in NVIDIA's Data Center products.
- Coordinate efforts from various hardware, software, and operations departments to define, develop, deploy, and maintain effective Failure Analysis solutions.
- Investigate NVIDIA silicon and product failures and determine solutions through lab experimentation and collaboration with other teams within NVIDIA.
- Maintain deep involvement in containment, risk assessment, and risk mitigation activities pertaining to hardware failures.
- Continuously improve our processes to expediently diagnose hardware failure in the field, working with our customer-facing engineers and operations teams.
- Incorporate Failure Analysis needs into the overall system architecture prefetch Failure Analysis for new chip and platform design requirements.
- Develop test strategies for new features, including test equipment and diagnostic software specification and validation.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technological advancements to foster innovation and drive continuous improvement within NVIDIA's Failure Analysis processes.
What we need to see:
- 12+ years of proven experience in Silicon and System validation
- BS Degree or MS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge in manufacturing and production testing of chips, boards, and systems
- Experience with system test development: hardware and software, Tester to System correlation
- Knowledge in DFT architecture, BIST, fault analysis, fault models, and fault detection methods.
- Exposure to digital design, circuit analysis, statistical analysis, firmware, drivers, and diagnostic software applications.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, server architecture, design, components, sub-assemblies and systems
- Understanding communication protocols: PCIE, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, and signal integrity implications.
- Comfortable with the use of lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQ)
- Outstanding problem-solving, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
- A basic understanding of frequency power thermal constraints.
The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 345,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
